The primary purpose of the LoveToLineDance web site is to promote adaptive Soul Line Dancing as an alternative exercise activity and provide seniors and older adults with opportunities to participate in other Soul Line Dance activities outside of the exercise class environment.
Once a year a fundraising event, Soul Line Dance Class & Party, is used to raise funds. These funds are used to pay for van transportation to out-of-the-area events.
It is hoped that these events will be co-sponsored with local Senior Centers and other community-based organizations. It also provides an opportunity for working older adults who can not attend day classes at the senior centers to learn Soul Line Dancing as well. At the least, the Class & Party events will provide dance events for the local adult community of East Palo Alto and Menlo Park.
